South Dakota's Minimum Wage Increasing Effective January 1, 2026

Beginning January 1, 2026, South Dakota’s minimum wage will increase from $11.50 to $11.85 per hour. The tipped employee cash wage will also rise from $5.75 to $5.93 per hour, maintaining the 50% rate of the state minimum wage. The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation has released the updated 2026 Minimum Wage Notice.
